Buying a gift for someone who smokes can feel trickier than it should — get it wrong and it sits in a drawer unused. The good news: a few categories consistently work well, whether you're shopping for a beginner, a longtime enthusiast, or someone who already has "everything." Here's how to pick well.
For the Everyday User: Consumables Done Better
If they already have their setup, upgrading what they go through regularly is an easy win. A pack of quality rolling papers paired with PURIZE filters in the size that matches how they roll is a small gift that gets used immediately — and repeatedly. It's low-risk, practical, and shows you paid attention to their habits.
For the Enthusiast: A Real Upgrade
If you're shopping for someone who takes their setup seriously, a Storz & Bickel vaporizer is the gift that actually changes their experience rather than just restocking it. The Crafty+ is the easiest "wow" gift for its portability and app control; the Mighty suits someone who wants performance over pocketability. If they already vape and you know their setup, this is the category that reads as a genuinely thoughtful, higher-effort gift.
For the Practical Gift-Giver: Grinders
A good grinder is one of those things people rarely buy for themselves but always appreciate — especially if theirs is old, dull, or missing a piece. Our grinder guide breaks down aluminum versus bio-hemp if you want to match the material to their preferences (durability vs. eco-conscious).
For Someone New to All of This
If the person you're shopping for is just starting out, simpler is better. Our PURIZE bundles combine King Size Slim papers with filters in one set, which is an easy way to start, and it avoids overwhelming someone who doesn't have preferences yet.
Quick Gift Matcher
| Who You're Buying For | Best Gift Category |
|---|---|
| Uses it daily, has their own setup | Quality papers + PURIZE filters |
| Serious enthusiast, wants an upgrade | Storz & Bickel vaporizer |
| Practical, appreciates a useful tool | PURIZE grinder |
| New to it, no strong preferences yet | PURIZE papers and filter bundle |
Not Sure What They Already Have?
When in doubt, consumables (papers, filters) are the safest gift — they get used no matter what setup someone already owns, unlike a specific device that might duplicate what they have. Save the bigger vaporizer gift for when you know their preferences well.
